Falconry is defined as the taking of live quarry using trained birds of prey, and was first recorded in 1700 BC.
Our falconer, James McKay, who owns and runs The National Hawking School in Derbyshire, will provide an interactive display which is exciting, educational and memorable.
With smaller groups you will be able to experience the breeze as a Red Tailed Buzzard flies over your shoulder or have a Harris' Hawk fly to your gloved hand.
From his vast range of raptors, James will have up to eight birds with him on a display ranging from his female Harris' Hawk (Parabuteo unicinctus) a broadwing with her intense scowling look to the smaller and very bright eyed male Peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) a longwing.
Chatting in the bar with a client recently after a display, he gave us one of the best adverts possible. I quote: "Having one of those magnificent birds fly to my fist is one of the most humbling experiences of my life"
Combine Duck Herding, with Falconry, Clay Shooting and Archery and you will have a very special Field Day for your corporate day or team event.
